100th Post! Thanks for following Searunner!

Pictures from a recent backpacking trip to Stratton Pond in the Green Mountains of Vermont.  This is an excellent 2 day hike to a beautiful, swimmable pond nestled in the picturesque mountains of eastern Vermont.  A snaking, back roads drive takes to you a trail head with parking off a well maintained dirt road.  Primitive camping and a few platforms are available once you’re at the pond.  The bugs aren’t that bad if you get a fire going, and the loons will lull you to sleep.

  1. Hi,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and following it.
It gave me a chance to discover yours. I “liked” some of your pictures…beautiful light and the close-ups on the main page…awesome!!!
I haven’t been to Stratton Pond…now I leave on the West Coast…Up North…great playground if you like outdoors!!! Looking forward to see more of your work…

    • It was awesome! Ever done hikes in Vermont? They’re not so much about getting above the treeline as they are about getting lost in vast wilderness. Thanks for stopping by!
